Why duct coolers are more resilient for cooling large spaces768 x 218 1

Cooling large industrial and commercial spaces is starkly different and complicated compared to small spaces like homes. Especially spaces like factories, manufacturing units, warehouses, etc.. are inherently complex structures with heavy machinery carrying out critical processes. The intricate processes being executed within the premises add to the already existing heat within the place. As a result, a highly effective cooling solution must be employed that suits the various aspects of the tricky site.

In such an elaborate the setting, plastic coolers  fail to achieve the desired result. Ducted evaporative coolers are the ideal choice for the place. The ducts act as channels or passages for the distribution of fresh cool air that has been conditioned with the help of evaporative cooling technology. The role is not just limited to reducing the temperature within the space, but it is highly efficient in providing ventilation by driving the stale air out of the room. Therefore, in the process, it improves indoor air quality by eliminating dust particles, fumes, and odours from the enclosed area.  Additionally, it serves a  twin purpose where it ensures the supply of fresh air in the room even during the cold weather.

Duct coolers uniformly distribute the cool air in all parts of the premises, making it suitable for central cooling. Here the cool refreshing air is directed through the ducts with a certain amount of pressure that reaches every part of the  room, even the far distance areas, with the help of single or multiple outlets. Ensuring consistent airflow throughout the space.

Plastic coolers, on the other hand, fail to achieve the same level of cooling provided by the duct coolers. They generally get deformed and come with a low life span, accounting for reduced cooling efficiency. The already existing problem is further compounded with the low water tank capacity, which impedes the cooling efficiency owing to the frequent exhaustion of water.

In most instances, the cooling pads are of low quality, which invariably adds to the insufficient cooling capacity of the plastic coolers. Along with this, the axial fans inherently come with low static pressure, which is responsible for the lesser air throw than the centrifugal blowers in metallic coolers.

Plastics are likely to get heated, and therefore, it is deemed inadequate in supplying cool air for a long time. Moreover, the coolers are made up of plastic cabinets with the limitation of covering less area. Such coolers cannot cool large spaces, leading to more electricity consumption due to the need to keep them on for a substantially long time. Plastic body air coolers de—shape and often crack due to harsh Indian conditions.

The most vital point to consider is that the plastic body is irreparable. Therefore, any form of damage to the plastic coolers cannot be mended. Further, there is no pre-filters in these coolers for filtering outdoor air; hence dust Et other impurities are bound to come in. These air coolers are mostly imported. Therefore spares are either not available locally or are highly priced.

Juxtaposing it with metallic coolers, they are backed up with a massive capacity of sustaining heat and providing cool air for a phenomenally long period. The duct coolers made up of metallic bodies have a more sturdy structure that can reach large areas while utilizing less electricity to supply fresh air with the powerful flow. Unlike plastic coolers, metal coolers can be repaired as spare parts are readily available, and any issue can be resolved.

The initial purchasing cost of metal duct coolers is budget~friendly, followed by low installation and maintenance costs. Given that the coolers employ green, environment-friendly solutions for cooling, there is substantial energy saving accounting for a reduction in electricity consumption. Hence, the monthly operational cost is lesser as compared to plastic coolers. 

Exploring the value-adding proposition, they have a vast water tank capacity that is widely suitable for industrial spaces, factories, assembly, and manufacturing units where continuous heat is produced. Given the structure of the coolers, they are compatible with supreme quality cellulose or honeycomb pads backed up with increased water absorption and considerable evaporative ability. The cooling pads are highly advanced to restrain dust and are easy to clean, which comes at a very affordable price. 

Looking at the requirements of the large spaces, it is only sensible to install more economical,  more powerful ducted air coolers that come with unmatched efficiency, unlike plastic coolers with a limited scope of cooling.
